A New EBook Book Reader Manufactured By The Computer Giants Acer Expected To Join Amazon Kindle

Acer, the computer giant., no bodies fool when it comes to competing in the notebook arena, plans to come into the ebook book reader arena later on this year.

Acer executive Jim Wong, head of the company's IT Goods section, outlined the plans in an interview with Bloomberg at Acer's offices in Taipei.

The day before Apple's alleged entrance into the tablet sweeps-a gadget that would serve e-book readers over and above others-Wong also said the company will what's more put forward "hundreds" of apps online, programs that will support Google's Android platform, currently running on a number of Acer products, on top of handling Microsoft's Windows OS.

By July, Acer will be projected to release an e book reader with a 150 mm monochrome screen, Mr. Wong informed Bloomberg. "Amazon.co.uk and Barnes & Noble; they are US based. In Western Europe and Asia-Pacific we have publishers to work with, and nearly everyone of them are subject matter owners," he maintained.
